Founded in 1859 in the city of Geelong, alongside Melbourne it's one of the oldest football clubs in the world and one of the two foundations the whole game was built on. Six premierships by 1963, then nothing - including four Grand Final losses between 1989 and 1995. The wait ended in 2007 with a 119-point Grand Final win, still the biggest Grand Final margin in AFL history, followed by flags in 2009, 2011, and 2022. On-field, the style stayed consistent through it all: patient, possession-heavy, built to wear a team down before it ever looks rattled.
